Yesterday it was an absolutely beautiful day. The sun was shining. The birds were chirping. It felt like spring is officially on it's way. It inspired me to go through my nail polishes and pick out the ones that I think I will be reaching for most this coming spring! I had a really hard time narrowing it down, so there's quite a few! So get comfy!
Yellow is one of my favorite colors! It's so bright and pretty and reminds me of all things spring- sunshine, flowers you name it! I like to incorporate it into my wardrobe for that pop of color. And what better way to do that than on your fingernails? My favorite yellow in my collection (and this was easy because it's my only yellow! haha) is Taxi Yellow Creme by New York Color. This polish is easy to work with, but takes quite a few coats to get it opaque. Still, I adore the formula of NYC polishes, and this color is worth the work it takes to layer!
I think this is such a classic look. It's also one of those that you either love or you hate. I love white nails! I think they look so classy and sophisticated. The color show here is Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in White on. I hate the formula of this one. It's super thick. I don't know if it's just mine, but it's been that way since I purchased it. Still it's opaque after one coat, and great for using as a base under a super pale polish or on it's own for this great white nail look!
I don't wear a ton of glitter in the spring. I just tend to shy away from it. But this color ha to be included in my spring picks. It's Revlon's Whimsical. It's such a pretty milky blue with lots of big chunks of glitter in pink and blue. It's super super sheer, and in order to get this color I had to use a white base, but it's beautiful and perfect for spring, in my opinion!
This is another blue that I absolutely love. I wore it a ton last spring, and I know it's going to make a comeback this spring as well. It's New York Color's Cashmere creme. It's a beautiful pale cloud blue that is the perfect Easter blue in my opinion. I love blue nail polish in general, but this one might just be my favorite blue of them all.
When I feel like going for a brighter nail, I know this will be my go to color. It's the color Wild Thing by Pure Ice. It's kind of a chartreuse color, bright and almost neon, perfect for spring, and also, I think it would be great for summer. It's definitely wild, and that's why I love it!
This color is one of my all time favorite nail polishes in my collection, and it's perfect for spring. The nail polish is by Sinful Colors and it's in the shade Mint Apple. It's this beautiful minty color with very subtle shimmer. It's gorgeous, and I know I am going to be wearing it a ton this spring!
This color is so pretty and is going to be so hot for spring. I just recently got this nail polish and I fell immediately in love with it. The color is called Coral Dream, and it really is. It's a beautiful coral color. It's great on my skin tone. A great transition color that could take you from spring to summer and even could be worn in fall. It's absolutely beautiful and definitely one that I will be reaching for a ton!
I almost didn't include this color, because I don't wear a ton of pink polish. I don't really own many. But I do think this would be a great color for my toes in spring and summer, so I added it in at the last minute, and I am glad I did. It's New York Color's Fuchsia Shock Creme. Now, I wouldn't really call this nail polish fuchsia. It's not that bright, in my opinion. I would consider this more of a dark barbie pink. But it is pretty. It's opaque in one coat, and it will look great with a tan!
Nothing says that all the nail polish you wear in spring has to be pale and pastel or bright. I chose this beautiful deeper purple because I absolutely adore purple, for one. And if you need a second reason, this particular polish has an absolutely gorgeous blue duo chrome to it. I feel like I absolutely did not capture the true beauty of this color in the photograph, but I did my best! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you what it is. It's Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Purple Potion
Another of my favorite nail polish colors (I own 3 or 4 different but very very similar shades to this one!) Orange is so much fun to wear. It's perfect for spring and summer in my opinion, and I know I will get a ton of wear out of this bright beauty. It's Elf's nail polish in Party Peach
For a super demure look, I love this polish. It's a no name polish that I have had for years. I got it as a Christmas gift in one of those big sets that comes with nail polish and cheesy make up. I held on to this color, because it's the perfect ultra pale pinky nude color. It's l perfect for spring. I wear this one constantly when I don't want something that will last a while (I've had it last a week!) and match everything. I haven't looked for a similar shade in another brand because I just adore this no name one so much! haha.
Last but not least I have the nail polish that I go to when I want something girly and pretty. It's NYC in a new york color minute nail polish in Lincoln Square lavender It's just a lovely simply lavender color. It dries fast and is opaque in one coat. It's really a no brainer, and great for when you don't have a lot of time!
So that wraps up my spring nail polish faves! I know it's a super long list, and if you made it this far into the post, I applaud you! Thanks! What are your favorite nail polish colors for spring?
