Polka Dot Nail of the day: Julep Leila/Sally Hansen Sun Kissed

Hey guys! I've got another nail of the day for you all today! I change my nail polish fairly often for a couple of reasons. For one, I just love variety! I get bored after looking at the same mani for too many days in a row. For two, I am really hard on my nails. I am a stay at home mom and housewife, and so I am constantly being pretty rough on my hands. Lots of scrubbing things and doing dishes, folding laundry, that sort of thing. So even the highest quality polishes tend not to last on me very long. So you'll probably be seeing lots of nail of the day posts from me now that I am no longer grouping them all together in a single post at the end of the month! Hopefully you don't mind. If you love polish as much as I do, I am sure you won't!

I went for a pretty fun summer mani this time! I chose a Julep polish for my main nail polish color. I chose Leila, which is a really pretty lemon yellow with some tiny micro shimmers. It's a great yellow that goes well with my skin tone. The polish itself was a little thick and streaky. I have yet to find a yellow polish that I adore completely- it's a hard color to get the formula right. But I like this one well enough. Then, to add a little something, I used one of the dotting tools I got in a set of 5 from amazon a few months back and added some polka dots on each nail in the color Sun Kissed from the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear line. Polka Dots are about as close to nail art as I can do. This nice, orange cream, shade is the perfect accent to the yellow. And I just think this over all look is so cute and fun!

So that's my NOTD. What's on your nails right now? I would love to hear from you so leave a comment down below and let me know, and until next time, I hope you're all doing well!!
