November Favorites

There is snow on the ground, radio stations are playing Christmas music, the temperature is 33 degrees, and yet it still doesn't feel like it's December! Time has just flown by this month! It seems like I just did my October Favorites and here I am bringing you my November favorites!. So let's get right into it. Don't want to waste time when it's already moving so quickly!!

My first favorite is the NYC Smooth Skin pressed face powder in translucent. This is the best powder that I have ever used. The powder sets my foundation beautifully, and leaves me with a flawless matte finish. It's great for absorbing oil, and it's just an amazing product. The packaging is kind of flimsy, so I am super careful with it. I can see it breaking very easily. And of course, the sponge is crap- but I use a powder brush anyway. Overall, this is an amazing product, and I think I paid around 3 dollars for it. That price can't be beat!

My next favorite is the E.L.F. eyeshadow brush. I just did a review on this- as well as a couple of other E.L.F. brushes so I won't go into too much detail here. I hated the brush at first, because it shed like crazy, but after washing it, the shedding quit, and now I use this brush every single day and I love it. And at a buck a piece, I plan on picking up a few more. One can never have too many eyeshadow brushes after all!

Next up is my Burt's Bees hand salve. I love this stuff. My hands have been so dry and rough lately. I think it's a combination of the cold weather, the wind, and the multiple manicures I've been giving myself. This stuff is amazing. It does wonders for my super dry skin, you don't have to use a ton of it, so the product seems to last forever, and this stuff smells super good. I see this product getting a ton of use this winter! This runs for about 9 dollars, and I know that seems like a lot. But i've been using this stuff for a couple years and I've only used up about half of the the product. A little bit goes a long way, so it is definintely worth the price!

My lips have been suffering from the same thing as my hands. Dry, rough chapped. This always happens in the winter, and this winter is no exception. That's why I am loving the maybelline baby lips tinted lip balm in Cherry Me. I find lipsticks can be very drying, so while I love them,. I find myself reaching less and less for my lip sticks and more for my balms and chap sticks. This is the best of both worlds. I get the moisturizing that I really need, and just a touch of color, (red) which makes it a lot more fun to wear than any of my other balms. This product runs about 3 dollars.

Lastly, I just have a couple of nail polish favorites this month. I've talked about both of these before, so I won't go into detail. The first is plaza plumberry by NYC (.94 cents at walmart!) . It's a gorgeous, deep color that is perfect or the fall/winter. The other is China Glaze Twinkle lights from their 2011 holiday collection. It's a beautiful gold, red and green glitter in a clear base. It's a great holiday color, but I also think it's very wearable, and I will probably wear it all year long! This polish came in a set of three from sally beauty and cost me 7 or 8 dolkars, which is a great deal, since China Glaze polishes normally run about 5-6 dollars each!

My last favorite is my family's Christmas Tree. I thought i'd share a picture with you. I hope you all had an amazing November, and have a wonderful Holiday season! Stay tuned to my blog for tons of holiday make up tutorials, holiday manicures, and tons of other fun stuff all throughout December!!
