Today, I am finally bringing you my review on the E.L.F. Jumbo eyeshadow sticks. I meant to get this review up last week, but things just got crazy. Sorry for the delay.
Elf's jumbo eyeshadow sticks are a creamy pencil product that can be used as an eyeshadow or as an eyeshadow base. They do dry down, but they do not entirely set, at least on me, so I like to use these for eyeshadow bases. These are very comparable to the NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencils, from what I can tell. I do not actually own any of the NYX ones, so I can't say for sure. They are very similar to the Urban Decay shadow pencils. I own a few of those, and I like the Elf ones just as much and they are a fraction of the price.
These jumbo eyeshadow sticks are available on eyeslipsface.com and can be purchased for $2 each. There are 10 colors available. The packaging on these is a matte white pencil. It's retractable which means no messy sharpening. The end that you twist up to push up the product is the color that corresponds with the product. They feature a clear cap.
Elf currently has 10 of these eyeshadow sticks available. I originally purchased 6 of the 10, but have since ordered the other 4, and am awaiting my shipment. I guess that gives you an idea on how I liked these!
These are really good. The product glides on smooth, and the colors are beautiful. The eyeshadow does not entirely dry down to a powder finish, so I like to use these as eyeshadow bases. When set with a powder eyeshadow these are beautiful.
The 6 shades that I own currently, and have swatches for you are French Lace (a pink shade with silver glitter), Little Miss thing (gold), Turkish coffee (a cool brown shade), Rock out (a sliver color), Bali bound (a beautiful emerald green) and Midnight Rendezvous (a black with silver glitter).
I really enjoy these little eyeshadow sticks. You all know, if you are a regular reader of my blog, how much I love eyeshadow bases. These are so handy and convenient and easy to use. The only negative that I can say about these is they do have a plastic-y smell to them. It doesn't linger on your eyes, but it's not pleasant, so if you have an aversion to smells, I would skip these. Otherwise, I highly recommend them. They are an amazing value!
Now on to the swatches!
